Welcome to Living Water
Building a Biblical Community for the Glory of God and the Good of His People
Who We Are
Living Water Church is a Christ-centered, Bible-saturated fellowship in Ashtabula, Ohio. We exist to glorify God by making disciples who know Him deeply, love one another sincerely, and live faithfully in the world. Everything we do is shaped by the conviction that Christ builds His church through His Word, His Spirit, and His people — not through programs or performances.
We hold to historic Christian faith with Reformed convictions: God is sovereign and gracious, His Word is our final authority, and the gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God for salvation. We practice believer’s baptism, cherish the Lord’s Table, and seek to order our life together according to the pattern given in the New Testament.
Our gatherings are intentionally unhurried and radically countercultural. Rather than compressing worship into a predictable hour, we devote extended time to the practices Scripture calls essential — devoting ourselves to the apostles’ teaching (Acts 2:42; 1 Tim. 4:13), reading and proclaiming God’s Word publicly (1 Tim. 4:13; 2 Tim. 4:2), praying together as one body (Acts 1:14; Acts 2:42; Col. 4:2), and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs from grateful hearts (Col. 3:16; Eph. 5:19). We share meals and break bread in remembrance of Christ (Acts 2:46; 1 Cor. 11:23–26), bear one another’s burdens in love (Gal. 6:2), and stir one another up to love and good works (Heb. 10:24–25). It’s not a weekly event to attend but a way of life to share — a foretaste of the kingdom and a reflection of the rhythms of the early church.
If you are weary of shallow religion and hungry for a deeper experience of biblical community — one rooted in Scripture, shaped by grace, and devoted to Christ’s glory — we invite you to come and see what God is doing among us.

About Us
Our Beliefs
At Living Water Church, everything we do flows from what we believe about God, His Word, and His gospel. We are joyfully committed to the historic Christian faith and hold to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) as a faithful summary of biblical doctrine.
We believe in one God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who created all things and rules over all things for His glory. He has revealed Himself in the Scriptures, which are inspired, inerrant, and fully authoritative for faith and life. The Bible is our final standard for what we believe and how we live.
We believe that all people are made in God’s image yet have sinned and fallen short of His glory. Our only hope is the gospel: that Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to conquer sin and death. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — not earned by works, but received as God’s free gift.
We believe the church is the gathered people of God, called out from the world and united to Christ by faith. As His body, we are commanded to make disciples of all nations, baptizing believers and teaching them to obey everything Christ has commanded. We practice believer’s baptism and regularly celebrate the Lord’s Supper as acts of obedience and worship.
We believe Jesus is Lord over all, and He is coming again to judge the living and the dead and to make all things new. Until that day, we live as His people — devoted to His Word, dependent on His Spirit, and dedicated to proclaiming His gospel and displaying His kingdom through our lives together.
Our Sunday Gathering
Our Sunday gathering is the heartbeat of our life together as a church. It’s not a weekly event to attend but a shared life to enter into — a time set apart for worship, fellowship, and the ordinary means of grace that God uses to build and sustain His people.
We gather as one family at 10:00 a.m., and our time together is intentionally unhurried. Rather than rushing through a program, we slow down and give ourselves to the things Scripture calls essential. At the center of everything we do is the Word of God. We read the Scriptures, pray the Scriptures, sing the Scriptures, and preach the Scriptures — because we believe God speaks through His Word, and His people are formed by hearing and responding to it.
Together, we lift our voices in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs filled with biblical truth (Col. 3:16). We bring our praises, confessions, and needs before the Lord in prayer (Acts 2:42; Col. 4:2). We open the Word and devote ourselves to the apostles’ teaching, seeking to be shaped and renewed by its truth (Acts 2:42; 2 Tim. 4:2). Twice a month we come to the Lord’s Table, remembering Christ’s death and proclaiming His resurrection as one body (1 Cor. 11:23–26).
Our gathering often continues with a shared meal, echoing the pattern of the early church (Acts 2:46) and giving us space to deepen fellowship, encourage one another, and bear one another’s burdens (Gal. 6:2). Children remain with us throughout much of the meeting, learning and worshiping alongside their families as part of the body.
A typical Sunday lasts two or more hours, not because we aim for length, but because we aim for depth. We want every moment shaped by God’s Word and Spirit. If you are hungry for something more than a service — if you long for a church where Christ is at the center, Scripture is the foundation, and the people of God share life together — we invite you to come and join us.
